"A makeup artist once told me my lips were too big to wear red lipstick."
One comment — "your lips are too big for red" — and I watched how quickly a woman can start shrinking. I put on the red lipstick anyway. That moment never left me.
Fashion model for Palmer's, Huda Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, Dyson. Designer trained at LCF & UCA. Stylist for BBC, Paris Olympics 2024, CBS Sports and talent including Anita Nneka Jones.
Even I was doing it — impulse buying, clothes with the tags still on, 80% of my wardrobe unworn. Knowing better and having the right tools are two completely different things.
Only 4% of women find themselves beautiful. Confidence is the layer that connects beauty and clothing — and how you dress is one of the most powerful tools you have to build it.
"Seventeen years of expertise, made accessible to every woman. Because for me, it will always be about impact."
That was their way of telling me to shrink. Early in my career, for a short while, I let it land. I changed how I dressed. I changed how I stood. I changed how I took up space. One comment. That is all it takes to shift how a woman shows up in the world.
And then I stopped. I put on the red lipstick. I wore my shoulder pads. I took the power back.
I am Jacqui, born in London of Ghanaian heritage, with seventeen years deep in an industry I love. From being a fashion model — working with brands including Palmer's, Huda Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury and Dyson — to couture ateliers and luxury design, to dressing women for the BBC, the Paris Olympics 2024 and CBS Sports, I have learned that confidence is not something you are born with. It is something you build, something you stand firm in. And how you dress is one of the most powerful tools you have to build it.
And yet even I was doing it. The fashion girlie, with the training and the eye and the industry knowledge, still impulse buying because a sale price looked too good to miss. Clothes folded at the back of the wardrobe with the tags still on. Reaching for the same five outfits on rotation while eighty percent of what I owned sat unworn, paid for, forgotten, wasted. I knew better. And I still did it. Because knowing and having the right tools are two completely different things.
With Jacq is for the fashion girlie who wants to stay ready on the go. For the babe who buys everything and still has nothing to wear. For the fabulous mum who has lost herself somewhere between the school run and the boardroom. For the woman who over-buys because shopping feels easier than deciding, and the woman who under-buys because she does not know where to start. For the woman standing in front of a full wardrobe every morning, already late, already overwhelmed. With Jacq has got you.
That eighty percent of your wardrobe you never touch? It is in there. We will find it. We will unlock it. And we will make sure you can access all of it, organised, searchable, ready, so you can show up as HER.
People ask why I do not use my background to work exclusively with celebrities and luxury clients. I could. But studies show that only four percent of women find themselves beautiful. Four percent. That number sits with me every single day. Because beauty and clothing may be different things, but confidence is the layer that connects them. It shapes how a woman makes decisions, how she walks into a room, how she shows up in life. I have seen these patterns over time, across styling clients at every level. If I can use everything I have built to reach her, that is where I will always choose to be. Because for me, it will always be about impact.
That is why affirmations are woven into With Jacq. Not as a feature. As a belief. Because what you tell yourself determines whether you wear the clothes or the clothes wear you.
